Happy Customer - I have to say I feel I little sad Howard has had to close trading in Warrington. My experience in dealing with him was a positive one. He not only was very flexible on price and delivering his goods, but empathetic when one of the chairs was scratched on delivery, replacing it almost immediately without quibble. I had ordered alot of furniture over a 6 month period in 2008 and found his honest 'no nonsense' approach one I preferred to deal with, resulting in my wife and I spending in the region of 8k at Chester Rd. I wish Howard all the luck in the world- as a family man it's very difficult to make a succuss of ones own business nowadays with the economy as it is.

Experiences of Customer Service - I bought a dining room table and chairs from Howard Tranter Furniture. After several months a split was noticed down one of the legs. I raised this issue and was assured that a replacement leg would be ordered and fitted. I first raised this issue during Jan 2008 and for 8 long months Howard Tranter did not replace the leg. In the end I took advice from Trading Standards who said I should write to the shop, this I did and sent copies to the manufacturer and Trading Standards.

Two days later the manufacturer Bakers made contact with me, though they were not legally obigated to do so,they offered to supply the leg direct to me. On the 14th August the leg duely came, though in the meantime Trading Standards made contact to inform me that Howard Tranter Furniture has ceased trading.
