homey warm traditional food - Osterio Basilico is a little place in Notting Hill with a traditional rustic, wood tables, wood floor, romantic set up. their food is comfortable and warm, they have good wines and nice pre-dinner drinks. the staff are like a family. Two of my friends asked for their fish boneless, and two of the servers actually sat down next at the table next to us and deboned the fish themselves. i thought their gesture was so natural-in that Italian 'you get what you want way'-even the way they did it was a pleasure to watch. I had the risotto, which was very good. the place is one of those that you can count on a solid, good old fashioned, warm, comfortable, no fancy pants, meal.
