Chez Gerard are a chain of brasseries offering a menu of French style cooking. The relaxed ground floor Brasserie offers an all day dining experience, from morning delicacies, a light lunch or something from the specially designed theatre menu. The stylish Champagne bar serves a wide selection of champagnes, regional French wines, popular bottled beers and a classic range of expertly prepared cocktails. Food as good as the service - We were late for our reservation as the show we had been to ran over, but the staff were very accommodating and didn't rush us at all. The steak was wonderful, the wine list fabulous and the service spot on with good advice on what to order. It definitely made us want to try the other restaurants in the chain or even come back to this one. I could imagine this place being equally good for dinner with a group of friends, as for an intimate date for two. Big thumbs up.
