chinese Supermarket - Well, I can say, the praise attributed to the proprietor of this establishment has not been exaggerated.
The shop itself seems aloof from the assortment of outlets that one associates with Catford – both Clean and organised!
Miss Lai, I learned, has run this family business for the last 6 years, and her keen passion for cooking is clearly evident the moment you enter this store, which is quite refreshing. I was given a free 5 minute tutorial on the benefits of tofu and using it in a tasty meal. I went on to prepare a successful tofu dish that evening for my appreciative spouse, finally realising for myself that tofu, when prepared with the right oriental ingredients and skills, could never be bland! All in all, a delightful shopping experience, with a wide range of well priced oriental products and extremely helpful staff. I would highly recommend this establishment. 20-04-12
