The Rookery consists of a charming row of 18th century houses, repaired to create this delightful small hotel. It situated within easy reach of the West End and Theatreland. A genuinely homely atmosphere is created by polished wood panelling, stone-flagged floors, open fires and antique furniture. Each of the 33 rooms are different and are named after people who actually lived in the buildings over the last 250 years. All rooms are equipped with televisions, modem point and safe. A laundry service is provided.

Stepping-Back-in-Time Boutique Hotel - The Rookery is a classic in Clerkenwell. Each room is decorated differently based on a person who two centuries ago who stayed there. I stayed there with my husband on our 5 year wedding anniversary. We actually live up the street but have always wanted to stay there. Huge, comfortable beds and bear-claw bathtubs make the place memorable along with the creaky floors throughout. It's by no means posh but it was still a nice place to stay and it's always fun to hang out in 02-07-07
