Sampler ofers gift cards, which is a great idea!
Nice place to go together, have some wine and then hit some dining place in Upper Street.

With sampler u can figure out what you really like and TRY TO teach your taste buds to distinguish £4 bottle from a £300 one:) After a few glasses the difference is getting a bit blurred...

The card system is really impressive! It's a high tech cellar and I'd love to go back there!

TIP TOP - Great place, well informed staff and very friendly, non of the stuffiness that you may find in other venues and boy oh boy what a selection they have...you can sample from as little as £0.23 up to £40 a nip buts it worth it , I went with spending around £20-£30 and ended up doing £120 walking away with a lovely bottle of Camel Valley....this is defo a place to go to even if you wish to just be curious and try a few to "see what is all about" or if you are a Wine master as you will see wines on there that you might never be able to afford...on a day to day basis.

Think Oyster card but for wine - Yes, you actually can get a pre-paid card at The Sampler where you put a £ amount on it and taste away in their shop. The have about 50 wines to sample from all over the world. You insert your card into the machine, then get a glass, then hit the button for either a large or small “pour”. It deducts from your card. Then if you want to buy any of the wine’s you pay with your card. It’s easy and fun and great to be able to sample the wine you plan you buy. Nothing is worse than paying top dollar for a bottle of wine then getting it home to realize it sucks.

The staff are really knowledgeable about the wines and very friendly. It’s an experience to go there even if you just want to taste.
