Treasure trove - There are 4 of these shops in this area at the bottom of town, one of which is a dedicated jewellery one (which I've not been in). The other 3 all sell electronic equipment and musical instruments and providing you visit regularly you are guarunteed some good bargains.
Can be a bit tricky to navigate as they're all fairly small, full of stock and a few customers will leave little room to move around. This isn't ever a huge problem though as it's usually easy to quickly identify whether you're interested in anything they've got in.
Also the best place in town to get any kind of audio/visual cable or connector. MUCH cheaper than Maplin.
Cash Converters is nearby if you're on a full bargain hunt, as are numerous charity shops, but for instruments and electronics Wants is the king.
