The Underwriter serves traditional pub food as well as beers, wines and spirits. Entertainment is provided in the form of karaoke on Fridays, quiz nights on Thursdays, discos, Sky TV, fruit machines and a juke box. They can cater for private parties of between 150 and 200 people on the weekends. Outside seating is provided on the pavement area.

No, no, no! - Went here at lunch time on a cold Autumn day. The air conditioning was pumping out very cold air - and yet the white wine was still warm!! As it was a cold day I opted for the roast dinner - big mistake! Meat was tough, potatoes were greasy, the only saving grace was that the veg. was OK!
