Sadler's Wells presents an adventurous programme of national and international dance, music theatre and opera in the heart of London's popular Islington area. Rebuilt in 1998 and a landmark in theatre design, Sadler's Wells also includes visual arts exhibitions, a stage door bar and cafe and is fully accessible.

Best for modern dance - This place is by far the best place to see contempory dance performances. Two of my all times favourites are Alvin Ailey American Dance Company and Rambert Dance Company which I've seen several times each at Sadler's Wells.

They also have Cuban festival and a Flamenco festival every year, featuring that genre performances and always amazing. And I went to the break dancing peformances over the summer which were so much fun.

During the Christmas season, they always put on some good shows too like Matthew Borne's Edward Scissorhands, but done with a Christmas theme. Spectacular. We frequent this place at least once per quarter.

They get the best dance acts from around the world so you're never disappointed. 11-10-07
