In the heart of the West End, Waxy O'Connors is like no other bar and restaurant you've ever visited. The extraordinary interior has some amazing features including cathedral like timber carvings, stained glass windows, beautifully tiled floors and the trunk and branches of a giant preserved beech tree. Within this are 3 bars and 6 different levels linked together by a warren of staircases and passages. Waxys stage regular live music and promotions, and show all the top sporting events on a big screen.

cool tree - the food is all right for pub food.

i think the only thing i've ever drank from here are the snake bites.

but, i do love the decor! the tree in the middle makes this place great.

this place actually tricks you - its WAY bigger than it seems... everytime i go to the toilet i make a wrong turn and end up at some other random part of the pub.

it's a really fun place though! definitely recommend it! 23-10-08
