Lively atmosphere - As is to be expected for Soho, on a Friday lunchtime Boheme Bar & Kitchen was very lively indeed. Next to our table of 5, a lady and her 4 male companions got steadily more and more hammered as the afternoon went on, but thankfully as it's quite a noisy dining area, they weren't glanced at too often. For this reason, I wouldn't suggest going here for an intimate date.

The menu is a heavy read; they have small plates, a seafood section, salads, sandwiches, mains, and from the grill. The oysters were good - minerally and creamy and served with typical garnishes. The mains around the table were less so; two steaks arrived overdone (but were replaced without question). My baby back ribs were very tender, if a little on the sweet side. The accompanying 'crispy onions' were deep fried battered onion strings, unfortunately rather on the chilly side.

The chocolate brownie dessert was the only one we tried. It was suprisingly light and very moreish.

Service was sweet and unassuming. We stayed for 4 and a half hours without question or even a glance at a wrist watch. It's easily done here, as it is a very comfortable place. 18-11-08

Boheme Rhapsody - This is a great failsafe choice for lunch or dinner in central london. I have never been disappointed with my choices, but the burgers are a must try. Really nicely presented, with a lovely side of perfectly cooked chips in a tin cup. The other sides are lovely too especially the spinach and the honey roast parsnips.
Get a table by the window and watch the world go by along old compton street while drinking a nice glass of rose.
The brunch is also good and one of the niceset eggs florentine to be found in soho!
the only thing I don't like is the sofas round the edge of the room, I hate being sat too low at tables (a personal bug bear - i'm very picky) 27-02-08
