As frequent flyers and travellers we are disgusted at STA's customer service and staff training. We got mis-lead and mis-sold by STA in London. We asked for a ticket leaving in March 2015 which we could change and return in August 2016. We were sold a Multi-flex Pass, the agent booked the return for Febuary and said "just call up closer to the time and change it to later in the year. You'll just have to pay any flight changes". This seemed perfect - but alas, it turns out a multi-flex pass is anything BUT! It is only valid for 12 months, so we are stuck in Australia with no flight back to the UK in August to our best friends wedding. We now have a flight in March which we can't use as we have only been with our employers for 9months so can't take 2-3 weeks holiday to visit the UK. STA will not do anything to help us and even told us they "don't believe" that we were mis-sold. I think maybe instead of telling their customers they are lieing it would be better to look into the staff members and their training! We would have NEVER brought a return ticket if we had to use it within 12months as we knew we couldn't return in that time.
TERRIBLE TERRIBLE customer service, we will be taking our complaint further as we are out of pocket and in all honestly pretty horrified at their responses and customer service. Shame on you STA!
