Go-to for late-night grub - After a night out, with a belly full of beer and booze, it often occurs to me to stop by this kebab shop for a doner sandwich or some chips on my way to the bus. I'm never disappointed, although this is the sort of food that I would tend not to eat if not inebriated.

There appears to be a real rivalry between Best Kebab and the FCKF next door. I always go with Best Kebab, although frankly my decision-making is based on the fact that Best Kebab always seems to be full of customers whilst the fried chicken spot (which also serves up the doner kebabs and chips that I limit my order to) lies mostly empty.

Service is fast and brusque - have an idea of what you want and how you want it before they catch your eye and call out to you. On a busy night they can get impatient if you aren't sure what salads you want on your kebab or whatever. If you know what you want, however, the food is served up in record time and is usually within the reach of the few pounds left in my pocket by the end of a night out. 11-06-08
