Oh Dear! - I cannot go into detail because I have outstanding business with this firm. However, I would not recommend them to landlords seeking a management company for their property. Avoid!

Unprofessional - The Canary Wharf office tried to twist my arms into renting a semi-furnished flat after taking on a deposit, despite my requiring a fully furnished flat.
Seeking to resolve the issue evoked the following reactions (in stated order): cluelessness, high-handedness and unresponsiveness.
Despite several communications from me, to date neither Atkinson nor any representative has attempted to communicate with me to have an honest discussion. Even a formal complaint with the following points regarding my interaction with Atkinson did not help:
- misled me about the ‘contract’ terms and my legal rights;
- tied me into ‘contract’ terms unfairly;
- unilaterally sought to vary agreed terms so as to compel me to move into the flat (with specifications different from what we had agreed to at the outset);
- made me subject to unfair penalties; and
- denied me full redress when matters did not go well.
The firm violated material aspects of applicable law and codes applicable to them as letting agents in their interaction with me.
Bottom-line: It was a serious waste of time dealing with the guys I did within the firm (including, I believe, Dan McLeod).
