The Windmill is a pub that serves a selection of beers, wines and spirits as well as a choice of modern British dishes. They have karaoke and pool tables with regular pool competitions. It attracts a mixed crowd of city workers and tourists. They can cater for private parties of up to 100 people upon request.

The Windmill London Reviews

No Mere Geezer Boozer - I like the Windmil, although I'm not entirely sure that I can explain why. Not so long ago it was an old fashioned geezer boozer, but it has recently undergone a major update. Often this means stripping out the soul of a classic pub and putting up some designer wallpaper to attract the rosé drinking crowd, but they managed to do it right this time. The exterior keeps the classic feel of the place, and the interior is modernized but comfortable and neither ironic nor annoyingly posh; the sheer lack of pretense serves to make the The Windmill quirky cool.

My only problem is with the beer selection, which is limited and confusingly priced. Firstly, there are typically about 5 nearly indistinguishable lagers and Guiness with nothing in between. The prices are all a bit high (£4 for a Peroni? Ouch.), but they vary and are not marked anywhere; I have been charged two different prices for the same beer in the same evening. Despite this, I like the vibe and the mixed crowd that frequents the Windmill, so I'm a fan.
