Broadway Market London Reviews

A mini, mini Borough/Spitafield’s - Broadway Market is a great place to spend a Saturday, especially when the sun is shining. It’s once a week and the trendy street filled with (good) coffee shops, tea houses, pubs and restaurants, turns into a cross between Borough Market and Spitafield’s Market but on a much, much, much smaller scale. They sell the typical farmer’s market fare such as fruits & vegs, cakes & breads, olive oils, meats & cheeses, but also have a homemade jewellery stall, vintage clothing stall, custom greeting cards stand and my favourite, the cupcake stand which not only sells full size cupcakes but bite-sized ones too. My favourite flavour is the salted caramel or coconut. So good! They also have coffee stalls and various stands to order hot foods, the mushroom and cheese melts being very popular. So you can get your grub and head across the street to either London Fields or the opposite way to Regent’s Canal and enjoy an afternoon of sun bathing and people watching.

Borough Market's Hip Younger Sister - Ohhhh its like a little mini Borough Market! But with loads more young attractive parents pushing babies around.

Its a great place to stroll, pick up some nice organic / free range meat / veg / eggs etc and at the same time grab some lunch (Grilled Mushroom sandwich looked amazing by I ended up opting for Lamb burger - yum!) My favorite stall was the Olive Oil / Balsamic Vinegar man - he had about 10 different flavoured oils (garlic, truffle infused etc) all of which you could taste with a bit of bread. He also had about 10 different types of balsamic vinegar - the orange infused one was delicious but the best ones were the white balsamics - I've never tasted them before but ohhhhhhhhhhh they were so good - everyone should have this in their life.

The market is surrounded by plenty of pubs (The Cat and Mutton, The Dove) and a bunch of coffee shops (there's also a Monmouth coffee stall on the market) which makes it a great place for spending a Saturday afternoon.

Not just food - Broadway is more than just boutique food vendors - there are small designers, clothes , books, bricq a bracq stalls, flowers, design shops.and much more... of course the food there is excellent too - with Gujarati Rasoi
Sporeboys, Wild Beef, And Ca Phe Vietnam
amongst many others.
There are excellent shops & pubs here too, with London Fields to play on too.
You really can have a whole day out here as many locals do.

Vibrant Market in the East End - I absolutely love Broadway Market. It's the main reason I moved to the area! The vibe is right, the selection of food, treats and other bits and bobs is perfectly balanced. If anyone is a market goer, this is a must see. Broadway Market is a perfect reflection of the raw and uniqness of East London! Go this saturday!

Mini Market - This is Borough without cavernous surrounds and heaving crowds. Small but perfectly formed this little farmers market covers all the food groups - Tables piled high with artisan breads, homemade cakes, cheeses, chutneys, jams, fruit and veg and organic meats. If the weather permits, stock up and head to London Fields for a gourmet picnic extravaganza. Don't miss the Mushroom man near the entrance for a tasty sandwich and there's sizzling bacon butties for those feeling a bit worse for wear. Lots of stalls offer tasters which you can nibble on whilst you make your way round. Round off the trip with a beverage in the Cat and Mutton pub and a fine morning can be had in this little enclave of Hackney.
