Worth a visit - This place is definately worth checking out if you're a fan of Japanese food - I think it's definately one of the best in the area. It's really worth going that little bit further out of the way from the croweded parts of Upper Street and Essex Road to get up to Akari.

The food is great, my only criticism would be that the portions aren't huge, so you will definately need a starter to feel the benefits! The place has a charm of an old boozer, but with great food. The pork was particularly amazing! 01-06-10

Sushi Gastropub - They've turned an old boozer into a sushi restaurant. They even kept the original bar, but turned that into the sushi bar. The fish is good, the saki great and the staff are friendly. They need pickled ginger though to go with the sushi. That's a must for me. 02-07-07
