Cool SE15 bar - Peckham and neighbouring East Dulwich suffer from a lack of cool, interesting bars - Bar Story is a notable exception. Relaxed vibe, good cocktail specials and BBQs in warmer weather. Can get packed, but the outside space is pretty big. 08-02-09

Underneath the Arches - Where you would normally expect to find a mechanics you'll find Bar Story a great find right by Peckham Rye train station (well under it actually) where the staff serve up beautifully made cocktails, and great food while the DJs play great music. This Saturday it seemed like the DJ was playing the best music from the 60s right through to the 90s, it was like a journey through the history of music. This may have been because I had had one san miguel too many. But with reasonably priced drinks and a great atmosphere who can blame me! 25-02-08
