Formerly The Carnarvon Castle, The Fat Badger opened in October 2006. The ground floor offers a very relaxed atmosphere, with sofas, tables and chairs, real ale on tap and and a superb bar menu. Upstairs is a large dining area, where the food is top of the range gastro pub fare. A great addition to the area.

A cosy pub near Portobello market - Went there on a Sunday afternoon and they serve fairly good food, though the service at the bar was quite slow. It's located in a lively area, very close to Portobello Market. There is a small balcony sitting area on the first floor. It's a nice place to go when it's sunny.
