Butlers Wharf Chop House serve a variety of Traditional British dishes in their spacious restaurant. Seating on the terrace area provides spectacular views of Tower Bridge. This also houses the Chop House Bar which is more informal than the restaurant and is ideal for a quick bite.

A Great Place for Visitors - The Chop House has such a fantastic view of Tower Bridge and the Thames that you couldn't really blame them if they wanted to charge a bit extra for the view. Luckily, they don't try to serve bad food hoping the view will distract you enough not to care - the food is well prepared and fresh and the portions are generous. The menu is composed of slightly gussied up renditions of British classics, common enough these days, but they do a decent job of keeping it interesting. I still have some reservations about this place, as it gives off a strong vibe of trying to look better than it actually is, or perhaps I just expect waterfront restaurants to be iffy. While I don't think The Chop House is likely to be much of a destination restaurant for most Londoners, it is a great option for taking visitors to show off the views of London and sample some good British cuisine.

The Chop House is also one of the few places in the area that serves breakfast 7 days a week, and the breakfasts are really good (high marks for the bubble and squeak with poached eggs). If you go on the early side, even on the weekends you can have the place and the river views almost to yourself.
