Abusive staff - Well, we were having a good time (even though it smelt of armpit) until the owner forcefully seperated my friend from the group, surrounded her with the bouncer and shouted abuse at her for not kissing his friend. I thought he was going to punch her. Extremely frightening and upsetting. 31-07-10

Caipirinhas, Jazz, Mayhem - When we moved to Dalston my flatmate and i could be found many a Saturday night crammed into the sweaty main room of the Dalston Jazz Bar, carving out a small space to dance without knocking over someone's drink or poking an eye out. Open late (and i mean late) this place becomes the de facto end of night destination for many an East End hipster/member of the artsy crowd.

The music is loud and doesn't sound like any of your dad's Jazz records, its insistent and groovy and you'd have to be pretty uptight not to dance around a little...at least tap your feet.

When we went for my birthday cocktails were £4.50 for large caipirinhas amd mojitoes with lots of fresh mint, but don't quote me on the price.

If you don't live in Dalston could be a trek finding your way home in the dizzy early hours of the morning... 10-02-09
