Overpriced Stokey at its worst... - We all know that Stoke Newington's delightful selection of boutiques and gourmet eateries is down to all the cashed-up media types who have decided to nest there. A wonderful thing for us all. But inevitably, such affluent locations can become magnets for businesses wishing to charge way to much for way too little, leaving your average consumer for whom every penny counts with a very bitter taste in the mouth. Shine Holisitic is one such place. I had an utterly disappointing massage there which did not resemble in the slightest the type of massage I had requested. And to add insult to injury, they wouldn't take a card as payment which meant I had to walk 10 minutes to a cash point to get the cash for them. Fifty flamin' quid. I left the premises with twice as many knots in my shoulders and pockets full of nought but lint. 21-11-08
