local gem... - A great gastro pub off Westbourne. Top place for a pleasant sunny Sunday afternoon on the new patio out back. Dine heartily on fresh seafood platters and glug wine from a well selected list. Staff are pleasant and children are welcome and looked after by nannies on the second floor of which is also an area full of luxury rustic private rooms. Now we all just need to wait for the sunshine again... MC 26-07-09

Relaxed bar, great neighbourhood - The Commander is situated just off Westbourne Grove, more towards the Bayswater end than Notting Hill. It's got a lovely outside garden area which will be great fun in the summer, I'm sure. Otherwise it's a nice relaxed place. Some of the sofas are a bit too worn out, but I'm not complaining. The drinks are decent. Not a big fan of the food. 23-10-08
