Crazy Homies London Reviews

Good greasy fun - Well you don't go for a gourmet degustation experience do you? Service staff are a bit space cadet, food is a bit tex-mex greasy, decor was thrown together with consultation of a kindergarten class but heck, that's the fun of this joint. And how badly can you scew up a fajitas and a corona with a tequila chaser anyway?

Good greasy fun.

Yum - After moving here 5 years ago from LA, I scoured the town for good Mexican. Not that fancy mole rubbish or boxed fajitas; the real deal. This is as close as I've come to it in London. I friggin love this place. They make the best margaritas (even though they come in small glasses and cost £7), the yummiest burritos and great appetizers. Margaritas should come in giant round thingys but hey, it's London and you have to pay for these little luxuries here. This is one of my only complaints about this place (and that Mexican should be cheap, but again, this is London). The other thing Im in love with is the funky decor. Great place to gab w/ friends but get there early, esp on Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays.

Quirky quesadillas - Ok the quesadillas are not that quirky but I like alliteration. You definitely need to get here early to get a table (before 7.30) or put your name down for the second seating. No booking ahead. The decor is quirky, a mixture of old west and american kitsch. I like the neon signs. Food is decent tex mex. I'm a sucker for good nachos and these do pretty well. The quesadilla starter with chorizo also satisfied - decent crunch on the tortilla with a smooth cheesy filling. My main course of crab hard shell tacos were a little bland after the spice and richness of the nachos. Its a good local option but I wouldn't bother travelling across town for this unless you especially like neon.

Tex mex and 'ritas - The Mexican food here is more of a tex-mex flavour. Not my favourite Mexican place in town, but average enough. The place is always packed so it is good to get in early. The margaritas are great. Decor is pretty cool as well. Service (as in most Tom Conran places) is a bit on the lacking side. They usually take a "too cool to serve you" approach.
