The Woolpack is a lovely pub in Bermondsey serving good pub food. There is a good beer garden as well.

Packed, but warm and cosy.... - I've had several great nights out here - the latest of which involved crashing the table of two musicians who were enjoying a quiet night out before we noisily descended upon them like a flock of seagulls, pulling them into our conversations. This pub is a proper old style pub oozing with character. There’s nothing fancy about the selection of beers and wines, but all the basics are covered. There is also a short food menu which looks appealing – but I have yet to try it so am unable to comment. This place gets busy in the evenings, so be sure to get there early and nab one of the booths. A beer garden out back is lit and warmed during the winter, providing a refuge for the last remaining smokers. I agree with the previous review – this place is slightly off the beaten track in one of the quirkier streets of Bermondsey, so it’s filled with a young and interesting crowd.

Awesome beer garden - A good place to go if you are looking for a beer garden near London Bridge on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Serving the usual pub fare (beer, Magners, crisps) and frequented by trendy south London residents, The Woolpack is a must. I work in the area and Borough Market is great for eating and drinking but sometimes it is fun to escape to the backstreets. There are almost always tables free (rare on a sunny day) and Bermondsey Street is interesting and - a plus - not yet overrun by tourists.
