Trailer Happiness is an intimate lounge bar, den and kitchen on Portobello Road with the feel of a low rent, mid-60s California valley bachelor pad. Trailer is a retro-sexual haven of cosmopolitan kitsch and faded trailer park glamour - cork tiles and shag pile, love songs and vol-au-vents, Lynch prints and Tiki drinks.

Tader Vic's little brother - What a little gem Trailer Happiness is... it's small but perfectly formed and has a cocktail list to die for.

I think the best way to describe Trailer Happiness is that it's a small version of the world famous Tiki bar Trader Vic's (in the basement of the Park Lane Hilton)

This Tiki's bars cocktails are an exotic blend of alcohol (mainly Rum) and fruit... some a lot more powerful than others, the decor is kitch but done well, think of the Green Lady print with a hit of Bamboo and you are almost there.

The atmosphere is great, mainly because all the staff are laid back and give good service to all the waifs and strays that come through their doors.

All in all Trailer Happiness is a great place to go for a few cocktails before a big night in West London or equally a great place to whittle away the hours slurping on a Zombie or two.. You won't be disappointed

Trailer? More like Tiki - I was actually hoping it would have been more trailer trashy serving Bud Lite (and via beer bongs if you choose), marshmellows, peanuts and spiked fruit punch. That would be a good bar concept! Instead it was Hawaiian Tiki/70's retro theme. Still cool and unusual for this city.

The cocktails were really good; the bar guy took pride in making them very carefully and to suit our needs (I ordered a made up concoction which he gladly assisted with and it was delicious). Their juices are freshly squeezed too.

I hear it gets really packed at night (i was there around 6pm and we were the only one's). Need to try it then to get the real feel of the place. 14-10-07
