Ruby loud - I decided to pop in here before a theatre trip as there was a 50% offer off on both food and drinks - which for an unabashed cheapskate like me is as much persuasion as is needed.

I was really pleasantly surprised though, that a bar/restaurant venue smack bang on Leicester Square was actually decent. More than decent in fact, my date had a pretty good-looking surf and turf and I tucked into something a bit more healthy. The menu wasn't exciting as such but the food was very well-cooked and priced. It was a Friday night and it was completely packed but the staff were really pleasant, no one rushed us to finish and to top it all off, a rather dashing young man was playing the white baby grand in the corner of the room.

A lot of people probably wouldn't appreciate the slightly raucous atmosphere - it was often hard to hear yourself talk - but it's a good place to grab a nice meal before a big night out, I'd say! 05-02-09
