The Elbow Room is a bar serving a selection of wines, spirits and beer including Stella and Heineken. They have American pool tables costing six pounds an hour during the day (free lunch with an hour of pool) and nine pounds an hour in the evening. This branch was a runner up of the Time Out Eating and Drinking awards 2001 for Perrier Best Bar. Catering for private parties is available upon request and pavement seating is provided.

Pool, football and drinks-awright! - The Elbow Room, as the name suggests, is one of those sports bars that has quite a few snooker/pool tables and a large screen for the football. My favourite bits are the four individual booths that have their own screens (if you're lucky enough to get a seat there that is-they usually need to be reserved). They have some very good comfort food - sandwiches, burgers etc. Their short eats are good too. The place is never too crowded apart from the sports fans (if there's a match), but then I've gone in the afternoons during weekends to watch some football, so I can't comment on the evening crowd. Decent drinks. 23-10-08
