Down and dirty at the local - The Daniel Gooch is pure value for money. It's a local pub that doesn't make any claims to fame, and doesn't have all that much going for it apart from its friendly staff and very well-priced drinks. No fake poshness or anything. Very down-to-earth. It's a Manchester United and Celtics supporting bar, so if you want to watch any matches in which these two teams are playing, they have a nice big screen to catch them on. Not the greatest evening out, but if you want a quiet evening, it's good enough. 23-10-08
