The best Sunday roast in town - I know this sounds like a rather outrageous claim, but what do you expect from the perfect Sunday roast?

A plate full of food? Loads of succulent meat?
Perfectly cooked vegetables? Loads of Yorkshire Pudding? An awesome gravy?

Well that's what we got. We liked it so much (no we didn't buy the company), we went back, with friends. This has to be the best Sunday roast we've ever had! There was a plate overflowing with food of which there was loads of really juicy, tender meat. The potatoes were chunky and crunchy, the peas were firm and yet tender. The carrots were delicious! There was a HUGE Yorkshire Pudding sitting on the top of all of this, and on top of that was the most amazing gravy ever!

I can't say if there is a vegetarian option as I really don't know. I've had the beef, Lamb and chicken and my wife and I have been about 5 times now, with and without friends.

We have made the mistake of being tempted by the deserts but the meal is really more than enough without them. There are all the extras you should expect (horseraddish, mint sauce etc.) and the service was cheerful and friendly. If you can, eat out on the terrace over the canal itself but you need to arrive early if the weather is nice.

We haven't eaten there on weekdays but the Canal 125 looks big and spacious and there is an upstairs area as well.
