Nice fries,horrible service - For those on a rush : nice fries, absolutely HORRID service that makes you want to scream.
For those that want the story behind this rating : this is a " restaurant " at the back (I insist : at the back) and a small take away area at the front with a few tables. My partner bought a pie + fries to take away a Sunday at 4 o'clock when it started to get dark, and when we asked if it would be alright to seat on one of the table at the front, which is by no mean similar to the restaurant (cheap fake marble tables with wonky chairs separated from the restaurant by a wall, and looking very different from what was inside the place) we were told, after paying of course, this was not possible because we took a take away. This would have been understandable if it wasn't absolutely dead, with next to no customers in the place but the boss's family. It was freezing and I really wanted a tea, and no one but some of the guy's relatives were seating down there, and there was loads of space (I am not talking about the restaurant area) so I asked if that would make it alright if I was to order a pot of tea with something. The person that was serving us then said :
"when your friend has finished eating then you can order tea and seat down".
This would have by no mean making him loose any money, and on the contrary might have attracted some people from the outside. "
I'll never put my feet in there again and strongly advice to give that pretentious "we're a take away but we want to look posh" place a miss.
