Service at Tiffany & Co - Not necessarily the one in Bond street, but the one in westfield i must say is not exactly what I was expecting. For a decent shop like Tiffany and co you'd think that the sales would at least be better trained and educated, but instead the attitude I recieved was very unpleasant. Although I am still only a teenager and I understand that there are many who would just go in to look around, surely as a customer i should recieve the same treatment as everyone else. After i had brought my item (recieving a rather unpleasant service) i found that the same sales was serving a mid forties man with a COMPLETELY different attitude even tho he was buying the same earrings as i did, where he recieved the full explanation of the material, design and allergy problems. While i just got a cold here and a look which would be read as "you obviously cant afford for this so just get out of the shop". Even after this unpleasant service i went home to find that instead of the lovely pair of earrings i got for my mother as a surprise, i found a cheap and ugly bracelet. meaning that i will have to go all the way out again to exchange back to what i brought and payed for, destroying the surprise for my mother.

Engagement Ring - I had gone in to Tiffanys a while back for the first time looking for an engagement ring. I have to disagree with the previous review as I have never received such excellent service although I admit that initially I thought I would be faced with snooty sales staff. The follow up was tremendous and the after sales has been excellent. Since that first positive experience I have always returned to add pieces to my collection. The staff are friendly and polite and always willing to go that extra mile for their customers.

The worst service in London? - If you want to stand at a counter for ten minutes while the staff on the other side chat with each other, this is where to come. My advice would be not to try and interrupt their conversation about hair or last night’s episode of Big Brother because they’ll pull faces at each other and ask you to wait while they finish their chat. I asked to see a few pieces of jewellery, which they asked me to point at in the cabinet before picking out every single item except the one I was pointing at. Then they couldn’t tell me how much it was, whether it was in stock or order only or practically anything about it apart from the fact it came in two sizes. They didn’t have both sizes to show me, but apparently one was larger. Did they have a picture? No. The other shoppers seem equally bewildered and exasperated. I heard one woman ask “is this white gold?” to which the woman behind the counter said “I’ll check” and went through a set of doors, never to return. Shopping for a special occasion, romantic gifts or top-notch bling should be fun, after all for most normal people it’s not an everyday event. In Tiffany New York everyone is treated like visiting royalty, it’s a great shopping experience. On Bond Street you feel like you’ve wandered into a very posh Asda staffed by sulky teenagers.
