The New Left Lion? - Many years ago I remember everyone always meeting in the Market Square by the Left Lion...nowadays we always seem to meet at Saltwater!
The food is the higher end of average price, & is good quality, however, there never seems much choice on the menu. The service is great & there is a nice feel to it.
Of course the main reason for going to Saltwater is for the drinking, the music & the lovely roof terrace, giving great views & is really good for chilling out in the summer.
There is a large cocktail menu, but be warned if you are a cocktail pro then you will notice they are not the best cocktails around but do the job!
Great atmosphere & a good place to start a night out!

OK food, good cocktails - Trendy place, it has won some awards, and rightly so. It does have a lovely balcony to sit on, and waitress/ waiter served drinks can be a bonus on a busy night, when you want to relax and sink a few cocktails with your mates without having to fight to reach the bar. One of the very few places in Nottm I've actually felt relaxed in on a Friday night.
UPDATE: Also a 20% discount for Boots staff!
