Great concept - service terrible! - Went to Inamo St James' last night with a group of 8 others to sample the fun interactive tables and Pan Asian cuisine. Unfortunately, first impressions were not great as we were left to wait at the bar for 30 minutes while we waited for our table - which we could see was ready for at least 20 of those minutes. We were finally seated and started to enjoy ourselves.

Our friendly waitress explained how to use the interactive tables and how to order our food and drinks as well as change the table cloth, check on the kitchen cam and play games. The novelty of this soon wore off however when half our table had been served their food and the other half had unfortunately been missed off.

Having called over various waiters and waitresses someone finally took our missing items down on paper and went to the kitchen to find out what was going on. We were told that the kitchen had been "very busy" and so our food was on its way. Unbelievable as the restaurant was hardly overflowing and kitchen cam seemed to show people loitering around not exactly rushed off their feet!

In the end we ended up waiting over an hour and a half before some diners even got one dish. And due to the way the kitchen brought the food out some people had side vegetable dishes but no main to eat it with!

When the food did arrive it was mainly really good quality. We had a few problems with food being cold and having to be sent back but overall what we did eat was lovely.

There is a large cocktail and drinks menu plus a good variety of soft drinks and mocktails.

Overall, our dining experience was ruined by the really slow and poor service. We had to complain numerous times and although the manager did end up giving us a small discount I do not think his explanations of what went wrong were good enough or that the other waiting staff really cared that we had such poor service. I was disappointed that the service let this place down as if the food was served hot and on time we would have really enjoyed our experience.
