Le Bijou d’Ange London Reviews

Quietly Quaint - Not very easy to get to once you're out of the station, but once you have food in front of you, you feel better for it.

Not entirely decorated to its best, nor is it heaving with people, but if this is your bag, then this is your place. What it lacks in decor and style, it certainly makes up for in food. I stupidly ordered a full pancake and the duck (so, two main courses) and the waitress looked at me funny - which I registered, but didn't pay attention to.

Now, I'm not that thick, but was just distracted gibbering to my friend as we'd not seen each other for a while. The waitress served me what I thought was my starter coming and it was HUGE. For the main course it was, this pancake was huge. Needless to say, it was fantastic and, so much so, I didn't want to waste it. I scoffed most of it and felt bad for having to leave the rest, for fear of not finishing my main. The main course arrived and I felt a little stupid, and we all shared a laugh with the waitress at how stupid I was, but once I had started that I didn't want to waste that either. So I didn't.

After eating everything in sight, I proceeded to order a dessert. Let's just say, my mate couldn't believe what he was seeing. The food was so good, I just kept eating it and ordering more.

Go there for a quiet night with a few friends and hit a bar afterwards. Not somewhere I'd take a heap of people. This place needs to stay quaint for it to be cherished.
