9 casks on tap?? get real......ale - Ok I met a mate in here in the afternoon yesterday for a quiet pint.
I walked in at about 3.20pm and there was two customers and 1 member of bar staff.
I bought myself a pint of Timothy Taylors Dark Mild £3.00 a pint!!?? I gave the barman two £2 coins and he left the £1 in the till, are things so bad here that you have to tip yourself with the customers change?
The beer range - as good as it is...9 cask ales, 1 handpump cider 5 lagers and guinness on draught whilst impressive isn't really realistic for sales in early january, I think I was lucky that I ordered wnhat I did, it must be one of the better sellers in here because I wasn't sure what to expect.
I was sitting there enjoying the quiet when an apparently former member of staff came in(yank, sorry joel) and started shouting the bar down, WTF? there's really no need to shout your conversation when 1) you're sat next to your mate and 2) when there's only 3 people in the bar!!
I like timothy taylor beers and i'll go back but these guys need to get real. 21-01-09
