Clock This Tea Shop - Teapod is a fun alternative to the stuffiness of many tea shops and a welcome addition to the limited options in Shad Thames. The shop is decidedly modern - there's even a large flat screen monitor on the wall with a 12 minute timer so you can make the perfect cup of tea to your taste. The cream tea here is a serious bargain, with delicious homemade jam, clotted cream, and huge buttery scones, and for just £8.95 you can get this along with smoked salmon and cucumber sandwiches.

Teapod also sells their many teas to go, which made me very happy because their Yunnan black tea was one of the tastiest teas I've had in a long time so I was glad to be able to take some home. 03-11-08
