Actually really nice - I won't lie - I was a bit scared when I first went here - it was a beautiful sunny day and the garden looked like the perfect place to sit and have a beer so we popped in. The interior was really sweet, its obviously a really old pub and its pretty cosy in there.
Its not an ale pub, just your usual lagers - anyway the barmaid was pretty scary and swore a lot and seemed like she wanted to beat me up for some reason. We sat outside and instantly felt a little out of place - right next to us was a group of men and a little girl who was catching ants! The men were all proper east London salt of the 'fackin' earth types which always puts me 'posh, fay, east London but Shoredtich' on edge.
Anyway long story short the barwoman turned out to be awesome, she came and had a fag with us and cracked jokes and even charged my phone for me. The hard blokes were super friendly and even included us in some of their attempts to get the little ant collecting girl to go away (she was the barladies' daughter).
I never saw the Korean Bar B Q out the back.
Oh and the best thing, kinda, is that as we were leaving my mate went to the loo and came back and said that there was a small pile of coke sitting on the ledge above the loo - we were all like how'd you know it was coke? Oh I gave it a little dab!!!! Foolish man but good investigation - I reckon this is a sign that it can get pretty fiesty here in the evenings. But yeah on a sunny afternoon it was good times.
