Food Hall Delicatessen and Traiteur London Reviews

food is good but nothing else - I live very close to it. I used to go there at least once a week. Food is good. but waiter are so unfriendly. It is quite overpriced. I stopped going there. I would advice to find an other place...

delicious but pricey - I have to say that I really like this place but its a super guilty pleasure as its really for grown-ups with grown-up jobs that pay grown-up wages and I'm none of these things.

However I do come here every know and again as they sell Monmouth coffee which is delicious.

The deli selection is super good, the sausage rolls are delicious and they have a spicy chicken roll that I usually get and their pizza slices are like £4 which isn't bad however be wary of the salads. I used to work round the corner from here and every now and again someone would come sheepishly back into the office having spent £9 on a salad!

Out the back they have a cheese and vegetable room and the cheese selection is great and reasonably priced and they have the most awesome massive mushrooms ever.

I've never bought any meat or fish from here as its just too pricey even though I'm sure its all organic and the animals had a great life. Actually its a bit like a mini Borough Market - pricey but worth a visit and my advice is stick to the snacks and coffee!

Neither restaurant nor shop - Food Hall confuses me. It tries to be both a gourmet food store and a lunch spot, but it doesn't quite work in either regard. The store part is the best aspect, and they do have some very good tempting things. The problem is that the prices are extremely high and the selection is somewhat random. Given the limited space, it seems strange that there is an entire wall of fancy olive oils and salts - how many salts can one actually need?

But the real problem I have is with the food. Most of it looks good, but apart from the Ginger Pig sausage rolls, which are really good, everything is mediocre and ridiculously overpriced. The second time I ate here, I got a slice of Spanish tortilla and a small scoop of salad (sold by weight) - this added up to over £9, with the miniature salad being more expensive than the tortilla! I wouldn't have minded so much if the food had been good, but the tortilla was just okay (apart from a random rubbery and brownish piece of hard boiled egg that had somehow fallen into it), while the expensive salad was terrible (it had bits of parsley stem, huge unchewable pieces of green onion, and something I spit out which might have been chicken). I threw it away and ate a Twix. As expensive as the food is when you take it away, the prices nearly double if you eat in.

If you choose to shop here, go for the good products they sell (wines, cheese, chocolates, etc.) - pass on the prepared food.
