Average, but quick - Caffe Piazza is a chainy-seeming Italian restaurant upstairs in a shopping mall in Bath. When we arrived there was a bit of a line, but to its credit the service was quick and we were seated in short order.
The menu was reasonably extensive and certainly could satisfy anybody with a decent range of (not particularly adventuresome) Italian dishes. Prices weren't especially high, either, with my friend and I splitting a pizza and two appetizers.
No real complaints when it comes to the food, but it wasn't exactly mouth watering either. The real trouble came when we were ready to depart - it took forever to get the attention of our server! We were in a bit of a rush to catch a bus back home, so in the end we had to make a bit of a fuss to finally get our bill.
I can't really condemn the place, as they were pretty efficient and served up perfectly acceptable Italian fare, but I don't really recommend it either. If you happen to be starving and there it is in front of you, by all means go for it. If you're elsewhere in town, it's not exactly worth a trip to reach it. 27-11-07
