Maida Vale Zen - This is a modern, purpose-built yoga centre tucked away between a leafy street and a park close to Maida Vale tube. You could live in the area for years and never know it was there unless you were told about it, as I was by a friend who travels all the way from South London just to attend classes. The atmosphere is not too anything (posh, hippyish, spiritual, etc) just really airy and peaceful, and for the location, quality of teaching and facilities it is really good value. They do everything from introductory courses (£60 for 6 hour-long classes) to advanced and specialist classes.
It was voted one of Time Out's 50 best gyms in 2008.
