Delightful digs - I started putting demands on the folk at Comfort Inn Victoria as soon as I arrived and they told me I'd been booked into a basement room.
They immediately found me another room without giving me attitude. It was a room with a view of nothing but a tiny interior courtyard, but it was fine.
The two rooms I saw were small and serviceable, but comfortable and clean. The corridors are labyrinthine, which makes the experience of staying there quite intriguing.
The foyer has a computer for public use at a rate of 1 pound per hour, a large TV and some comfy chairs.
Very large brass doorknob on the main door.
The breakfast room in the basement is a help-yourself affair, but it's well stocked with eggs, bread, cereal, fruit, coffee, tea, juice, etc.
The hotel is in a convenient location behind London Victoria train station and not far from Victoria Coach station.
There is a pub across the road, which is OK for a drink. Service for dining is questionable.
Right next door is a place to get a good cappuccino and sandwich for lunch.
It cost 250 pounds for three nights for two people.
