The Vibe Bar London Reviews

Take control - Recently, I've found that I am the one who controls my actions, and my moods, my pints, my ciggies and thus, for the most part, everything that happens around me. Anyway, let's come back to a pint theme. Have you ever noticed the difference between beer consumption in the night and in the day? It seems to be obvious. In my case, there are lots of pubs/ clubs I have never visited during the daytime so I couldn't compare that emotional state. Yesterday, I went to the Vibe Bar in Brick Lane about 3pm and it was an interesting experience. The space itself is quite huge, nice and usually overcrowded in the weekends (which is obvious). The Vibe has something like a 'patio' as well but sitting there is like being an exhibit in a museum or a monkey in a zoo. All because of being surrounded with a fence. Logically, the owners wanted to mark their territory and make their clients feel priviliged (?) but I don't think it makes anybody comfortable (some tourists took a picture of me through that fence, so that's why this sad reflection). At the same time, the Vibe's patio is the best point to keep all Brick Lane under observation. Anyway, the next time I will take control and choose the other place to have afternoon beer.

Meh! - You know when you're younger and your friendship group includes a few people that you don't really like but there's not much you can do - then you wake up one day and realise 'actually I don't have to hang with anyone I don't really like' and you just don't see them anymore.

thats kinda how I feel about Vibe Bar - I used to go there a lot a few years back, in fact I even promoted a night there. The crowd was always 'nice' but nothing special and the music they played (not on my night) was always average but me and my friends always just kind of went along with it - until one day I realised that its just really average and there are so many better bars to spend you time in.

The decor is kinda whatever, the layout it odd and the atmosphere is meh at the best of times. Oh and I'm not really into the jusic they play (sort of middle of the road jazzy, latina stuff with a bit of naffish hip hop every now and again).

I went there the other day for lunch - they have this guy with a pie stall inside - it was 6 quid and the pie was ok but the peas were awful and the mash was ready made - not great.

I will say this for it though - it has a massive outdoor courtyard that sometimes has heaters and cover so its ok for smokers and hanging out in the summer - but if you don't smoke and it isn't the summer I wouldn't bother.
