AWESOME - My boyfriend is Sri Lankan and he took me to this restaurant to get some takeout. He says this is authentic Sri Lankan food and when I tried it, i thought it was delicious. For the price you pay, you really can't get any better. I think most people who get food at this restaurant get takeout like me and my boyfriend, but the atmosphere is very nice and there is a bar, which means it might be a really cool place to hang out as well. I am currently staying in Blacknell and it was totally worth the drive to New Malden, although it was hard getting stuck in traffic and not being able to eat the delicious smelling food until we got home! Thankfully we had the vadai to tide us over. ;)

best Indian near Wimbledon - Have been eating at this place for over a year. It continues to surprise and impress us. Its located on Burlington road between Raynes Park and Kingston/New Malden, so doesn't make it onto the main London sites. However the food quality is extremely good. Its officially a Sri Lankan restaurant, and serves Sri Lanka street food like hoppers, appam and kothu rothi. The food is extremely spicy, and in that respect is authentic: however they appear to use very fresh spices and fresh vegetables. We ate there last night, and the chicken kothu was delicious and spicy: the veegtable curry mixed well with it and the spinach curry was a delicious side dish. Total bill was below £20 including bread and a beer. Restaurant actually says "Curry Leaves" on the sign. Would be delighted to hear if others have enjoyed it there - its always empty when I go, although I am usually just picking up takeaway myself. This compares favourably with a recent trip to the curry central destination of Tooting - where portions were smaller and food had been pre-prepared.
