Hidden Gem - A superb collection of British and international fine art. The Colomb Art Gallery is a first-rate commercial gallery to buy art works. Unfortunately, it is not open on Sundays but you can get around this by making an appointment. Also, most available works appear on their website which makes browsing very easy.

A super gallery. - The Colomb Art Gallery is a great example of how to present brilliant artwork in this vast city. A friendly vibe is always felt when entering the interior and when peering in from the outside to view the ever changing new works of art that are displayed in the window. A lovely spectacle in a beautful vibrant area of the city.

Colomb art work - On my first visit to the Colomb art gallery I was taken back by what I found nestled with in this cosy little building. This amazing gallery may be missed as it is not on any main highroads, but then this adds to its beauty, it takes you away from all the hustle and bustle of the west end and provides peace and tranquillity with harmonious melodies playing in the background, thus providing the perfect ambience to view the work within. The building itself is very deceiving it appears to only have one small room upstairs, but alas the stairs in the back lures you in to another level of art work.
The work I found within the colomb art gallery had great diversity, from classical finely tuned landscapes to contemporary, bright canvases filled with emotion and very unique styles. I feel that the balance of artwork fits just right as they all seem to have their own space so it is possible to view each piece individually not just as a whole.
The facilities available at the gallery are also impressive, they offer an extensive range of framing and restoration work.
One of the most important things about the gallery is that they do their best to promote up and coming British artists who are looking for a breakthrough into the art world.

A fine art gallery... - I stopped at this place when something in the window caught my eye as I was passing on my way to Oxford Street.

I don't really know a great deal about art, but found that the guy in the gallery to be extremely helpful. He certainly didn't hold my lack of knowledge against me, and was able to give me a lot of information about different artists that they had on walls.

In terms of a purchase; I liked the piece I saw so much that I bought it. I was given some information about the artist to take with me, and certainly felt like I had got something special.

I've been past a couple of times since and there always sems to be a lot of new stuff. One of the last times there was a sole exhibition by a British artist called Annie Ralli; a visit is recommended even if you’re not looking to buy, no pressure from the staff, and really interesting works.

Overall it was very friendly place to be, with an interesting and varied selection of art.

Where Art Thou...? - ....Well I'll probably be in one of Marylebone's best independent art galleries. It's off the beaten Central London track and on the way to Baker Street, just around the corner from The prestigous Wallace Collection.

The gallery has an excellent selection of British, International: Traditional, contemporary: landscapes, city scapes: And many original paintings to suit most tastes.

Their website has most artwork that is available at the gallery www.colomb-art.co.uk.

A visit to one of Marylebone's best kept secrets is a must.
