Wagamama Leeds Reviews

Love Wags - I don't like it when people complain about a place, purely on the basis that it's a chain.

I mean, I get where they're coming from, and there's something far more charming and special about a privately owned, secret little place that you love but few people seem to know about.

But food is food; even if the interior could be likened to a school dinner hall, with chopsticks.

Yes, you get chopsticks to eat with. You get a fork too, but I don't recommend it. Why would you choose a steel eating device when you can use two thin pieces of wood? I'm serious!

In Wagamama, the food comes when it is made, which is very quickly. If you order starters, it is possible that they will come at the same time as one of your party's main meal. Don't be all British and wait for everyone else. I mean, do, if you're at any other place. But here, I would order at least one starter dish so that your friends can at least eat that instead of watching you with intense jealousy if your meal comes first.

It all seems like healthy stuff, and it's deceptively filling. I ordered the chicken curry one, and it didn't seem like a lot but in fact, it was. My favourite is the sain soba (I think). It's this big soup thing with noodles inside it.

The prices are £6-10 per dish, and starts are $4-5 each. So you can get a meal starter and drink for just over a tenner, which is alright.

Just don't come here if you're on a hot intimate date. It's not really good for that, you're on the same table as other people and it gets noisy. Best to come with friends.
