Browns manages to be quintessentially British while combining a French brasserie with an American burger joint. The result is vivacious and good humoured, while the portions are large and it is very popular with children. The menu offers a bit of everything; burgers, salads, pasta and steaks. The food is wholesome and plentiful and it's a great place for lunch with the kids.

sex and the city cosmos! - me and a few of my girlfriends went here before watching sex and the city on opening night.

+1: they had cosmos (SOOO sex and the city) for half off cuz i think it was happy hour. the pomegranate cosmos was REALLY good!

+1: it was a cute place cuz we were semi dressed up and wasn't a chain slash take away looking place.

I ordered the chicken and bacon pasta and asked if I could get it without bacon and the waiter said.. "I'm not sure if we can do that it might be mixed in with the sauce." I said ok that's fine.. he comes back and informs me that it's not mixed in so he'll ask for my entree without the bacon.

My friend who ordered the same thing got it w/ bacon and it was 2 strips.. nowhere close to being in the sauce!

Is it just me or shouldn't the waiter have known that? I mean.. it was the special of the day. 23-10-08
