Quite possibly the best spanish... - Ive lived in London for seven years and I still keep going back to this place, it's really good.
Serving contemporary Spanish food in the tapas fashion ( though you can go large and have the traditional courses if you like ) , the food here is fuss free , the ingredients are fresh and friendly , most importantly flavours are well balanced.
My favourite dishes include the grilled octopus on a bed of paprika potato puree, appetising and carries the texture of a solid mash, with the fluidity of double cream. Really excellent stuff.
Otherwise I'd also go for the slow cooked ox tail with apple foam on the side - the meat is so soft it delicately falls apart in your mouth. Great stuff, and you cant really go wrong with the lamp chops or even the fillet steak.
Everything is slow cooked so it's pink, juicy and has a nice sizzle in the taste. They do change up their menu every once in a while but the core ingredients kind of remain the same.
For the quality of food, its quite competitively priced against the more famour michelin rivals - you'd be looking at £50 per person. But if you are looking for a great meal, I wholly recommend this place, its my fav restaurant in the city.
Oh - do go for the melting chocolate pudding too , which is abit like a souffle on the outside and a melting chocolate fondant at the core. Top stuff.
