The Savoy has over 150 rooms and is synonymous with London. Located close to the only street in London where cars drive on the right hand side of the road, The Savoy is within walking distance of St. Paul's Cathedral, Big Ben and the City.

The Savoy Hotel London Reviews

Fancy!!! - Just for the record, I didn't pay for my stay here. And no, I'm not a call girl! I have a friend who works at the Savoy and when there were special guests who wanted him to be on site 24/7 they set him up with his own room. I was privileged enough to be invited by my friend to enjoy the free room service:-) As soon as I stepped through the door I was amazed by the silence in there, so central and yet you couldn't hear any traffic. The decor is very fancy and all staff extremely polite and professional.

My friend took me on a guided tour of the place and it's very impressive with it's 5 restaurants. The floor with a gym and a big swimming pool in the middle is unreal!!

Room service was very quick, we rang and 10min later they rolled in a table that looked like it was set for the queen. The food and wine was excellent and the leaflets we found in the room about helicopter rides and all sorts of things that rich people do in this town were enjoyable too.
I stayed the night, still not a call girl!, and in the morning I enjoyed croissants that tasted like they'd been flown in from Paris and an impressive view of the Thames. Despite all this the best thing about this experience was yet to come. I stepped into the shower and the shower head was the size of a flying saucer, HUGE! It was like standing in pouring rain, hot pouring rain. Might not sound like a sensational experience but try it and you'll see.
Later while on my way out through the reception an Italian family were just checking in. I literally had to step over their huge pile of Louis Vuitton suitcases. What's up with the round shaped ones? Are they carrying around 15kg of Stilton? Or maybe are they planning to steal the fantastic-flying-saucer-shower-head and have brought the perfect shaped piece of luggage to put it in. What else could a bag that shape be handy for?

Anyways, my stay here was short but of a very high standard. I left feeling relaxed and pampered and I can see why people would pay some extra money to stay here.
