Rotana Lounge is restaurant and cocktail bar. The design, by Middle Eastern architect Raafat Amin, is inspired by the naval officer owner of the restaurant and based on the interior of a luxury yacht. The upstairs dining area is in the shape of the deck and the labyrinthine downstairs area, with its variety of dining rooms, equate to the cabins. There is live music downstairs most nights. The food is traditional and the menu draws inspiration from old recipes using well-sourced, authentic produce. The upstairs bar serves a selection of Eastern-inspired cocktails and the wine list is fairly comprehensive and includes Middle Eastern bottles. There are also a number of juices as well as mint tea and orange blossom coffee.
